The April Budweiser King and Queen of the Lanes as well as the April Bing Energy Drink Prince and Princess of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament resumes next week at the Capital Bowling Center in San Jose.

The two-day Budweiser February King and Queen of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament will be held in April 13 and 14, Sunday and Monday.

Sunday’s roll-off would begin as early as 4pm, while Monday’s competition, starts at 6pm. Registration starts 30 minutes prior to game time. Awarding ceremonies immediately follow the end of competition on Monday.

The competition is exclusive for SBA members with participants limited to the first 72 entries for each day.

Members have the option to bowl on the Sunday or Monday, or on both days, provided that the $15 entry fee is paid. Bowlers who did not bowl on Sunday will be given priority for the Monday shift. Only the higher score will count for the tournament. All participants have to pay the $15 SBA annual membership fee.

The champion is guaranteed $100 in prize money but it could go up to as much $150 depending on the number of participants. Women participants will only have separate prizes if there are at least 10 entries.

Youth bowlers (12 to 19 years old, not bowling in any leagues or averaging less than 160 in any league) will only bowl on Sunday for the Bing Energy Drink Prince and Princess of the Lanes. Entry fee is $10.

After being sponsor-less for the whole of 2007, the Saipan Bowling Association’s monthly King and Queen of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament as well as its season-ending bowlfest has secured the help of MARPAC for this year’s competition.

The Budweiser King and Queen of the Lanes Tournament aims to crown 12 monthly champions through the course of the year.
