Powerhouse teams and rivals Inter and Onwel celebrated Easter last week with easy wins over separate opponents in the 2008 Men’s Winter Football League at the Oleai Field inside the Susupe Sports Complex.

Inter scored a 4-0 shutout win over Wild Bill’s Independents, while Onwel tripped Ol’Aces, 6-1.

Arkie Reusora had two goals in Inter’s win to help his team improve its record to a 6-1 slate to top the six-team field. The loss dropped Independents from second to fourth place with an even 4-4 mark.

Reusora scored in the 64th minute breaking Inter’s scoring drought since Eigo Kamatsu found the back of the goal in the 11th minute of the first half.

Chris Nelson secured the win for Inter when he scored in the 79th, while Reusora added one more goal in the 88th minute to complete the shutout.

Bunsong Srisomkhieo scored in the 76th and 80th minutes to lead Onwel’s 6-1 win over Ol’Aces.

Wirat Chuaykrathok (15th minute), Apisit Khenarun (36th minute), and Prem Thephaso (54th minute) scored the other goals for Onwel.

In the other game, FC Arirang escaped with a come-from-behind 4-3 decision against Multinational FC.

FC Arirang trailed for most of the first half but scored the needed goals before halftime to swing the momentum back into their favor.

Multinational FC’s Hyun Lee and TJ Gurung gave their team a 2-0 lead when they scored in the seventh and 24th minute.

FC Arirang rallied back in the game when Sung In Kim scored their first goal in the 28th minute while Yoon Won Choi tied the game four minutes after in the 32nd minute.

Chong Koo Gil opened the second half with a goal in the 46th minute, while Arirang added an own goal in the 90th to secure the win.

Multinationals’ Sewoon Park scored after four minutes of stoppage time to end up the scoring.
