No major changes in 8-ball league standings
Standings in the Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League hardly changed with the SaipanCell Hustlers still dominating their opponents in games held in various bars on Saipan last week.
The only minor change that happened was that Jonny’s Destroyers returned to second place with a one-game lead over Porky’s Extremists.
The Hustlers further padded its lead in the standings with a league-best 53-10 mark followed by the Destroyers’ 43-20 win-loss slate and the Extremists’ 42-21 card.
A 7-0 win by the Hustlers over Godfather’s Magas helped them improve their record as Jerry Soriano, Erwin Gomez, Joey Lucido, Robert Sanciangco, and Senen Pangilinan bested their opponents in the five singles and two doubles matches that they played at Godfather’s Bar in Garapan.
The Destroyers, meanwhile, moved one game ahead of the Extremists after a 6-1 crushing of Krystal Perfect Spotters.
The Destroyers’ lone loss was in the final doubles match when R.J. Macarinas and Luis Fajardo lost to Serge Tipundao and Mario Junalon.
Porky’s Extremist visited the Wild Wild West at Wild Bill’s Bar in Garapan and came out with a 5-2 decision to stay within striking distance with the Hustlers and Destroyers.
In other games, USSP Fotten Palau also scored a 5-2 win over Lens 5 Amigos, while the Len’s 5 Bad Boys, Coral Reef Barracuda, USSP Watever, and Mr. Wonderful Shooters scored similar 4-3 wins over the Coral Reef Shark Attack, VFW Warriors, Wild Bill’s Snipers, and Porky’s Wild Hogs, respectively.
Pacific Amusement, the same company that runs the leagues of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association, organizes the Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League.
