Procurement Technical Assistance now in NMI

The Defense Logistics Agency recently renewed its commitment to the University of Guam, School of Business & Public Administration – Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center to continue to fund the operation. This brings the operation to its fourth year and now includes coverage for the CNMI.

“The new coverage for the CNMI expands on the university’s mission as a land grant university, which exists to service its learners and the communities of Guam, Micronesia, and the neighboring regions of the Pacific and Asia through the core curriculum, degree programs, research and outreach,” said Vera Topasna, program manager for the Guam PTAC. “We are also pleased to provide this type of service to our neighboring islands during these tough economic times.”

The Guam PTAC has worked closely with the Tinian and Saipan Chamber of Commerce since the 2008 to bring the program to their islands. The Guam PTAC will launch services to Tinian on Nov. 9, 2011, and Saipan on Nov. 10, 2011. (PR)
