Three of the four leagues organized by the Philippine Bowling Association saw new leaders as action resumed this week following a weeklong sabbatical as key bowlers took part in the 20th Asian Intercity Bowling Championships in Guam.

Multi-Line Supply took the driver’s seat from erstwhile leader STAXX in the 20th season of the PBA-CBC Thursday Night League at the Capital Bowling Center. Multi-Line Supply now finds itself a game ahead of STAXX, 46-34 to 45-35, while Taga Air (44.5), Century Insurance (44-36), StaR Water Indians (43-37), and Bank of Saipan (43-37) remain in striking distance with only two weeks to go in the competition.

PTI DSL Lite also took over the helm of the 18th season of the PBA-CBC Friday Night League surging ahead with a 13-3 win-loss mark at the Capital Bowling Center. Pure H2O is in solo second place with a 12-4 record, while UIC and PTI share third place with identical 11-5 standings. Erstwhile leader, 8 Gam3ler, is tied with two other teams—Cool Masters Auto Shop and Wushin Corp.—in fourth place with 10-6 marks.

McAsia also followed the fates of STAXX and 8 Gam3ler in the resumption of the 35th season of the PBA-Budweiser Saturday Night League at the Saipan Bowling Center, as SBC/J’s Restaurant is now the leader with a superior 43-21 win-loss record.

Fun & Games also leapfrogged past McAsia and is now in second place with a 42.5-22.5 mark, while McAsia is a game back with 41.5-22.5 record. Bowl Like Chit maintained its fourth place standing at 37-27, while Total Chem. Resource jumped from eighth place to fifth with its 33-31 performance.

The only league leader that did not fall this week was Uragon Boys in the 3rd season of the PBA-Budweiser Monday Night League at the Oleau bowling venue.

At 19-0, the Uragon Boys kept a firm hold in the competition, followed by Lucky Shot (18-10), Super Fafa (17-11), and two 16-12 teams, Team Familia and SBC.
