Guam residents will be trooping to the polls today to vote in the general election, which pits the Democratic gubernatorial team of Robert Underwood and Sen. Frank Aguon Jr. over incumbent Republican Gov. Felix Camacho and running mate Sen. Mike Cruz.

The two opposing teams conducted a final rally in various points of Guam on Sunday, in a final push for more votes in the run-up to today’s elections.

The Underwood-Aguon tandem had their “Countdown to Change” rally while the Camacho-Cruz duo held their own. The following are pictures of Sunday’s rallies.

A Pacific Daily News telephone poll has predicted that Guam’s more than 50,000 registered voters will likely elect a new governor today.

“Residents who intend to vote during Tuesday’s General Election continue to favor…Robert Underwood and Sen. Frank Aguon Jr. over…Gov. Felix Camacho and running mate Sen. Mike Cruz,” the PDN article said.

The poll was conducted in cooperation with Market Research & Development and Sorensen Pacific Broadcasting.
