The D’s Diner Brewers didn’t even have to break a sweat to add another tally to their win column as their seasoned competition experienced a senior moment when only one player from the K’s Wao Pao Masters showed up the ballpark on Saturday afternoon to face manager Tony Rogolifoi’s maroon marauders.

At 5-6, the Brewers made no qualms about picking up the easy win Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field, but not everyone was happy about suiting up, warming up, and waiting as only one player from the other team was showing up.

The Brew crew remains in fourth place in the five-team Budweiser Saipan Major League and is only a game an a half behind the defending champion Ford Rangers despite the sub-.500 record.

On the other side of the field, the loss was just another drop in the bucket for the waterlogged Masters who notched their 11th “L” in 11 outing this season.

The Bud Kings (8-2) and Northern Yankees (7-3) are still the top teams in the 2006 edition of the league, and the duo was dueling at Tan Ko last night. The Kings held 9-1 advantage at one point but the Yankees were hot on their trail before a controversial call at home plate late in the game stalled their momentum.
