TAMUNING—Wendy’s is offering a solution to the summertime challenge of keeping the kids occupied, entertained and out of trouble.

Starting June 1, Wendy’s restaurant in Tamuning will host Family Fun Night every Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Highlights of the weekly event will include the comedic antics of “Jingles the Clown” and a special $1.99 offer on each of Wendy’s Kids’ Meals, including the new kids’ deli sandwiches.

Guam’s very own “Jingles the Clown,” also known as Diane Thurber, will entertain the children with face painting, twisted balloon sculptures and general clown silliness that kids and adults alike seem to love.

“Family Fun Night is a great chance for mom and dad to reconnect with the kids during the work week when time is really tight,” explains David Kusz, Wendy’s Marketing Manager. “It’s an easy night out for working parents. We’re doing the cooking, washing the dishes and providing lots of smiles and laughs.”

According to Kusz, Wendy’s recently expanded its Kids’ Meal Choices Menu with two deli sandwiches and a low-fat yogurt and granola cup. The new kids’ deli sandwiches are roasted turkey breast with cheese and Black Forest ham with cheese. The new deli sandwiches join the traditional hamburger, cheeseburger and chicken nugget kids’ entrée selections.

Parents and children can not only choose the entrée they want, but also substitute either the low-fat, strawberry-flavored yogurt and granola or mandarin oranges for French fries. They can also substitute chocolate or 2 percent reduced fat white milk for the soft drink. There are no additional charges for these substitutions.

Founded in November 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, Wendy’s International, Inc. is one of the world’s largest restaurant operating and franchising companies with more than 6,700 Wendy’s restaurants in the U.S., Canada and international markets. (PR)
