Valedictorian Peter Camacho and salutatorian Franchesca Dalusung led the Kindergarten class of the Grace Christian Academy’s promotional ceremony yesterday morning.

The ceremony, with the theme “My life is in you Lord,” promoted some 39 pupils, who were all dressed in white caps and gowns. Family and friends gathered in the school auditorium to witness the occasion.

Pastor Faith Dixon shared a slide show with the pupils on Little Hands, Big Jobs.

“Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity,” she said, quoting passages from the Bible.

“All year long your teacher has taught you the right thing to do. Now it’s your turn to teach your family what you have learned,” she said.

The pupils were presented awards for Perfect Attendance, Character, Citizenship, Bible Study, and Presidents List among others.

Honorable Mention Awards were given to Carl Chingkoe, Cameron Boyer, and Miku Matsumura.

Recognized for their consistency in the honor roll were Vyela Cervara, Reaven Cruz, Peter Deng, Jefrey Ito, Athena Kaipat, Jessa Lizama, Art Mamaril, Eric Pacheco, Joshua Tenorio, Christopher Aninzo, Alexandra Aquiningoc, Dionicio Babauta, Don Castro, Claude Celis, Joey Cruz, Guillermo Faller, Takumi Ishii, Jyawnna Joyner, Jonas Metran, Carlo Nautan, Satoshi Ohtsu, Keiolanie Smithee, and Jerique Suba.

Camacho also took home the Eagle Award for excellence in character, consistent honor, and leadership. (Cassie Dlg Fejeran)
