This Sunday, May 21, will see the CNMI’s First National Maritime Day celebration.

This full day of events will recognize and celebrate the contribution of all personnel working in maritime activities.

The proclamation signing will take place at 9am at the LaoLao Bay golf course. Immediately following will be a golf tournament, two-person best ball format. At 2pm an awards luncheon will be held at LaoLao Bay.

Activities continue at 4:30pm with a wreath laying in honor of mariners at the Port of Saipan. Finally, there will be a hosted reception beginning at 6:30pm at AJ’s Restaurant & Piano Bar.

This day of commemoration is being sponsored by the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, the CNMI Governor’s Office, and the Navy League. To sign up for the golf tournament or for more information, call 233-7150. (PR)
