Tickets for the third edition of Trench Warz are selling like hotcakes.

According to event coordinator Cuki Alvarez half of the 600 tickets available have already been sold.

“Once its out, its out,” Alvarez said yesterday. “Tickets are selling fast and if you want to watch, you got to come over here and buy your tickets as soon as possible.”

The event, dubbed as Trench Warz III: Commotion, will be held on May 27 at the Trench Tech Purebred Saipan Gym behind Moylans Insurance in Garapan.

Tickets cost $20, a $5 hike compared to the inaugural and second Trench Warz. The reason for the hike is that the event will also serve as a fundraiser for the upcoming 6th Micronesian Games.

Meanwhile, Alvarez disclosed a slight change in the fight card as the bout between Kelvin Fitial and Luka Iakopo has been cancelled.

Alvarez said, however, that Fitial may still be able to see action.

“I am still working with everything I’ve got to see if I can match him up with someone,” Alvarez said.

Bouts reported earlier stand, with Alex Evangelista facing Jay “Furbs” Santos, George “G-Unit” David taking on Lucio Omar, “Suicide” Cliff Masga battling Bill Saures of Dragon Pride, John Babauta fighting Welsin Apaisam, and James Blas challenging Salik Ittu.

Frank “The Crank” Camacho will also face Robert Palacios, Ken Tanzawa fights Frank Roberts, Jason “Rush” Tarkong battles John Borja, and Danny Atalig takes on Herman Duenas of Graccie Barra.

Three Guam fighters based out of the Spike 22 Academy will also fight, with Eric Cepeda taking on Ryan Sablan, Tony Borja facing Jordan Palacios, and Yuichi Yoshi taking on Geovanni Sablan.

The main event will feature Slade “Rage” Adelbai facing Tony “Xcaliber” Nekaifes.

Alvarez said the match up may still change as he is still accepting new sign ups by interested fighters. Alvarez is giving interested fighters until May 20 to register and sign the fight contract. After the deadline, he will be able to work with all names he has on the list and finalize the bouts.

Among those whose names are on the standby list are John Maliti, Arthur Reyes, J.D. Reyes, Ron Chisato, Tom Pangelinan, Ferdinand Fitial, and Jay Muna.
