GUAM—The Guam National Men’s Basketball Team bounced back from their opening day loss, while Korea University rolled to its second straight win as the 2006 International Friendship International Basketball Tournament continued Tuesday night at the University of Guam Fieldhouse.

Putting behind their lackadaisical play against Philippine Amateur Basketball League All-Stars the night prior, the Nationals played much better in their game against the debuting All Navy and won in a score of 86-74.

Korea University, meanwhile, brought PABL All-Stars back to terra ferma when they routed them 101-65 in the second game of the doubleheader.

The other two teams that are playing the six-team tournament are Naval Station Guam and defending champion of the University Athletics Association of the Philippines, Far Eastern University, which were supposed to play in the nightcap opposite the Koreans but were reportedly held up in Manila because of visa problems.

The 2006 International Friendship Basketball Tournament will be played all throughout the week and into Saturday when the championship game is scheduled. (Eduardo C. Siguenza)
