CDA-Tinian temporarily without staff

The Commonwealth Development Authority regrets to inform the people of Tinian that it will temporarily be without a staff. Frances Diaz of the Northern Marianas Housing Corp. will temporarily assist CDA receive payments, hand out loan applications and offer technical assistance.

CDA will schedule regular visits to the island and will disseminate and post notices of scheduled visits in advance.

GTC PTA meeting set

Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School would like to inform all parents/guardians that there will be a PTA meeting on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 6:30pm, in the school cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend this meeting. (PR)

KHS graduates, parents meeting set

To all parents/guardians of Kagman High School 2006 graduates, there will be an important meeting on Thursday, May 11, 2006, in the school cafeteria at 6pm.

Agenda includes Baccalaureate Service (Mass) information, the graduation rehearsal schedule, and more.

This will also be the last meeting for graduates and their parents so please make time to attend this very important meeting.

Memorial Day meeting set

On May 29, 2006, Memorial Day, the CNMI will be paying tribute to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have passed on. All Memorial Day Committee members and all interested in being a part of the committee are being informed that we have started to meet every Tuesdays at 9am, at the Office of Military/Veterans Affairs on Capitol Hill building 1365. Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend. (PR)

Relocation of BPL office

The office of the Board of Professional Licensing has relocated and is now sharing office space with the Nursing Board Examiners and the Medical Profession Licensing Board at House No. 1336, Ascension Drive, Capitol Hill, next to the Energy Office. Any complaint about Community Reading Club?

The Attorney General’s Office wants to hear from all CNMI consumers who have been solicited by a company calling themselves Community Reading Club of Southern California. This company contacts consumers over the phone and tries to sell them magazine subscriptions. Often, the sales pitch involves an offer of a “free” gold watch with the placement of an order with this company, please call the Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Counsel at 664-2333. You may be entitled to a refund. (PR)
