Champions of winter-spring season named

The champions of seven divisions in the winter-spring season of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association were released yesterday.

747 White Horse led all the winners by topping the Masters League, while Oleai The Brattz and Jewel The Hunk-A captured the Volcano A League and the Rainbow A League, respectively.

Lording it over in the Tuesday B League and Thursday B Division were Bud’s Balite Boys and Oleai Mama’s Hotdog, respectively, while Bud’s Drunken Masters was heads and shoulders above the competition in the C League. Last but not the least, VFW Wizards was tops in the Ladies League.

White Horse topped the Masters League after finishing the season with a 137-88 win-loss record followed by Bud’s The Great Snipers, Jonny’s Master Proofers, Jewel The Hunks-M, Oleai Green Flash, and Ysabel’s Bull Blaster.

Suiting up for White Horse were Jun Oxemer, Emil Bello, Noel Montalbo, Jerry Zapanta, Nonoy Avelino, and Mark Lim.

The Bratz, meanwhile, went 149-61 in the Volcano A League to beat the likes of Bud’s Daggers, VFW AARRRG!!!, Vargas Snipers, Da Blue Diamond, USSP Pinoy Big Brothers, Bud’s Da Boyz, and Da Place Major Leaks.

Jimmy and Ramsa Tenepere, Nestor De Vera, and Lino Ibis make up The Bratz.

Rainbow A League champion Jewel The Hunk-A came away with a 130-80 slate to humble Bud’s Destroyers, Round Two Lost Commando, Da Place Razorback, Bud’s Dart Busters, Bud’s Tribes Heart, Jonny’s 151 Proofers, and 747 Assassins.

Jewel The Hunk-A players include Leo Lindo, Toto Cuenca, Tony Maestro, Annie Legaspi, Landon Martin, and Randy J. Tudela.

Balite Boys, made up of Ronnie Cruz, Rannie Soriano, Daniel Ducusin, Jun Vergara, Jun Oleta, Adelino Jucar, Johnny Gacayen, and Edmund Rosimo, was 150-75 for the season in the Tuesday B League and won over Bud’s Invaders, Oleai 80 Proofers, Jonny’s Emperor, Da Predators, and Bud’s Re-elect.

Oleai Mama’s Hotdog reigned supreme in the Thursday B Division with its 151-74 record. It comprised of Jimmy and Charlotte Tenepere, Alfred Santos, Ranie Soriano, Ronnie Cruz, Jun Oleta, Jun Vergara, and Andy De Guzman.

Coming after Oleai Mama’s Hotdog in the standings were VFW Chapinos, Round Two Next Episode, Bud’s Primos, Bud’s Parz, Jonny’s Most Wanted, VFW It’s All Good, The Flair Balutan Kings, Porky’s Wild & The Gang 2, and Jonny’s Fujin.

C League winner Bud’s Drunkin Masters was 122-88 for the season to beat out Da Place Assassins, Jonny’s Dragons, VFW Clubmates, Jonny’s Bad Company, Bud’s Wolf & The Gang, Oleai Invaders, and Da Place Beginners.

The team is made up of Wine Escala, Joel Basal, Dong Flores, Greg De Leon, J.R. Aguilar, Rod Lopez, Jess Orebiana, and Edwin Arescon.

Reva Rhea Ong, Manju Hom, Aida Nelson, Charlotte Tenepere, Marilyn Quebral, Ma. Hellena E. Jebehn, and Rose Reguine, meanwhile, led VFW Wizards to a 101-79 record to take home the Ladies League title against the likes of H.I.S. Unbeatable, Oleai B52 Shooters, Porky’s Adventures, and Da Place Ligaya.

The awards banquet for the winter-spring season of SEDA will be held on June 11, starting at 11am at Pacific Islands Club’s Charley’s Cabaret. Cost of the banquet is $25 for adults and $12.50 for kids.
