Another Micro Games 5k fundraiser coming up

The Micronesian Games Organizing Committee will host the second 5-kilometer run fundraiser in preparation for the quadrennial event.
This according to publicity committee chairman Bob Coldeen, who disclosed yesterday that the run will be held on May 27 at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.
Coldeen said the run will kick off at 7:30am, which means individuals interested must be present at the start site earlier for registration.
More details on the event will be released in the coming days.
The first 5km fundraiser for the Games was held last March 25 at the American Memorial Park.
“A lot of people enjoyed it so much that asked for another one,” Coldeen said shortly after the first fundraiser, which raised about $840.
A total of 77 individuals participated in the fundraiser, and despite not taking part of the 5K event, several others were just interested in supporting the Games by purchasing T-shirts.
The Micro Games will be held from June 23 to July 2 with over 1,400 athletes from the CNMI, Guam, Kiribati, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Marshal Islands, Yap, Kosrae, and Palau taking part.
