CHACHA OCEANVIEW OPEN HOUSE TODAY

The Chacha Oceanview Jr. High School will be having an Open House today, May 3, 2006, from 4pm to 6pm. The purpose of the Open House is to distribute the 4th Quarter Progress Report.

OLEAI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTSA MEETING

The Parents Teachers Students Association officers of Oleai Elementary School is informing parents and guardians of its students that the PTSA meeting will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, 6pm in the school’s cafeteria. (PR)

GES REMINDERS

The Garapan Elementary School would like to remind everyone that May 1 – 5, 2006 is Reading First and Supported Reading Academy Testing Week. Half day sessions are scheduled throughout the week for various grade levels. Students who stay behind for testing on specific days will leave at 2:20pm, unless arrangements have been made with teachers for alternate test hours. Meals and transportation will be provided for all students. Please refer to the schedule below and contact school officials at 237-3341 for more information.

ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST SET

The Northern Marianas College will once again administer an English Placement Test for the Summer Semester 2006 on May 15, 2006, at Room D-1, from 9am to noon.

Test-takers must bring a valid photo ID and pencils.

There is a $25 fee for the English Placement Test that must be paid in advance at NMC’s Finance Office (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm).

Students will not be admitted to the testing room without proof of payment—a receipt for either the placement test fee or the NMC application fee. This $25 fee is applicable to the NMC application for all students.

Lucky R now has now has the tickets available for the Promotion Ceremony buffet. They are being sold at our school cantina for $5 each, which includes a dinner plate with two choices, salad and a drink. Tickets will also be sold May 10 at the Science Fair, and May 11-12 for the PTSA/7 grade orientations.

7th Grade Orientations: We will have a brief orientation for our feeder schools on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, from 6-7pm. A PowerPoint Presentation and school tour will be included. There will be time for questions and answers. Schools are asked to adhere to the following schedule:

– Thursday May 11: GTC, TAN, KES, SAES, DES

– Friday, May12: SVS, GES, WSR

The Awards Ceremony has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 13, from 9-11 am at the Multi-Purpose Center.
