TJ 5 Star, SBC lord it over team awards
Champion TJ 5 Star and second runner-up SBC/J’s Restaurant equally divided the spoils of the team awards in the latest season of the Wednesday Night Mixed League.
SBC took home the high series scratch and high game scratch awards after rolling 3,076 and 1,122, respectively. TJ 5 Star, for its part, held forth in the high series with handicap and high game with handicap after knocking down 3,176 and 1,151 in the said categories.
TJ 5 Star is composed of Robert Talavera, brothers Ariel and Raul Dumapit, Jun Canillo, Ronald Epan, Arnel Del Rosario, Jon Eparwa, and Simon Manacop. SBC, meanwhile, is made up of Alex Cacdac, Edgar Talavera, Simeon Eparwa, Jess Rebusada, Ross and Raymond Zapanta, Edward Baluyan, and Ador Dimaano.
JET Holdings Co. finished second in the high series scratch with 2,922 followed by No Zone with 2,727. JET Holdings duplicated the feat in the high game with scratch with 1,045 followed by Golden Lobster with 983.
Golden Lobster took home its second team awards trophy after coming in second in the high series with handicap with 3,169 followed by Microl-Toyota with 3,164.
Neni’s Team was the runner-up in the high game with handicap after rolling 1,151, while No Zone was next with 1,103.
In the special awards, Robert Talavera continued his lucky streak by picking up cash incentives for 300 perfect game and 722 series award. Jon Eparwa (712 series award, 150 pins over series, and 277 game award), Alex Cacdac (711 series award, perfect 72 games, and 273 game award), Simeon Eparwa (150 pins over series and 289 game award), Beerframe’s Chester Bai (100 pins over series), Neni’s Team Marvin Topasna (perfect 72 games), JET’s Jon Villagomez (perfect 72 games), SSC Riggers’ Ace Capuchino (perfect 72 games), TJ 5 Star’s Raul Dumapit (278 game award), No Zone’ s Roman Borja (277 game award), and Kalakas’ Jon Hensley (274 game award) were also recognized.
Talavera and company took home between $100 and $20 for their individual accomplishments, while teams bagged between $45 and $30 for their collective achievements.
